Orange Blossom Hydrosol
2 fl oz/60 ml
Imagine walking the neighborhood on a dewy spring morning. Your senses take in the alluring aroma of orange blossoms on the air. You hear the low-humming thrum of busy honeybees flitting from one tantalizing flower to the next. And then you see it—the tree. Deep green leaves dotted with thick white petals: the promise of next season’s sweet, juicy oranges.
We visited a few such trees this month, and WOW! The hydrosol that drips out of the still when the column is full of orange blossoms is out of this world! We were so crazy for it, we did a second run, and now what we have is what we have until next year. Get yours before we run out!
Sweet orange hydrosol offers clarifying, balancing, and brightening properties to your skincare routine. While some citruses cause photosensitivity, sweet orange does not. We find that it feels “active” on our skin, and I like to spritz a bit under my facial oil. We also love it as a room or linen refresh.
Our hydrosols, or “botanical waters,” are produced in small batches by distilling plant materials through a copper alembic still. With similar properties to essential oils, but gentler, they can be used directly on the skin.
